Tradogram is a simple and cost effective tool for buyers who usually have to contact more than one supplier for every purchase they make. It provides a platform to facilitate the trading activities which involve inviting predefined suppliers in order to compete over a consignment submitted by the buyer. The supplier who succeeds to offer the lowest price or be the first to meet the buyers bidding price is the one who wins the deal.
Having been in the trade business, buying and selling for more than 25 years, we have encountered many difficulties. Ironically, one of these difficulties is sorting out the plethora of software’s that are presented as solutions to help traders perform effectively. Solutions named as: Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), E-Procurement, E-Sourcing, Contract Management, Asset Management, Invoice Management, Purchase Management…etc. They are all good, and we highly respect all of those who worked hard to come up with such solutions, but they are a bit too much complicated for some of us. Nevertheless, they are usually too costly to buy and maintain.
After reviewing the main solutions in the market, we have realized that what makes them complicated and expensive is that they also deal with issues that do not always concern traders like us. As a matter of fact, even those who care about these issues, they can obtain them by adding the modules needed into their ERP system. But – again – not all of us want to link our trading activities to inventory control, requisition and spending management. We mostly need a simple and cost effective solution that helps us manage our purchases. In other words, buy at the best possible price while maintaining the quality. Tradogram was created to achieve just that. It does not help in managing inventory nor does it help in managing spending; it primarily helps you communicate effectively with the appropriate suppliers, to make the best possible deals.
