A distribution address location is a way of referring to a location that has item stock levels that need to be tracked. For instance, when a delivery is being booked in, the item quantities received in that delivery are “distributed” between the locations that are marked as distribution addresses.

Item quantities can also be manually updated and freely shifted between distribution addresses. When these adjustments are made to stock levels in the inventory module, the changes will be automatically tracked in each item’s inventory log.
