What Does a “Reorder Point” Refer to in an Item’s Profile?

In Tradogram, a reorder point serves as a vital inventory management threshold used to determine when a specific item is running low on supply. It is best described as the minimum quantity of an item you wish to maintain in inventory at a specific location.

How Reorder Points Impact Your Workflow

Setting these points allows for visual management and automated reporting to prevent stockouts:

  • Visual Status Indicators: When viewing stock levels, quantities that remain above the reorder point are highlighted in green, while quantities that fall below the point are highlighted in red.
  • Automated Reordering: Under Inventory > Reorder Report, the system generates a list of all items currently below their set threshold for each location.
  • One-Click Refilling: From this report, you can directly place an order to refill those items back up to the required reorder quantity.

How to Set Reorder Points

You can configure these thresholds individually within each item's profile:

  1. Click on the Items tab in the left-hand menu.
  1. Select the desired item to open its profile.
  2. Navigate to the Inventory tab on the item’s profile
  1. Click the Reorder Points button on the right side of the page.
  1. Enter the specific reorder points for your locations.
  1. Click Save Changes.
