What is the “Enable discussion room for this request” option on step 2 of request creation used for?

The discussion room option allows direct messaging to take place between company users and participating suppliers in a request process. Suppliers can access the discussion room through the same secured email link that they use to respond to the request form.

Multiple users from within the company can also be invited to participate in a discussion room, which can be useful for including the involvement of technical evaluation teams and staff.

Supplier identity is anonymous between all involved suppliers in the discussion room. The user(s) that initiated the request from within the company are the only individuals who will be able to distinguish suppliers from one another during the discussion.
