What is the due date on requisitions used for?

In Tradogram, the requisition due date serves as a time-management tool to help internal teams prioritize their workload. It acts as a "reminder date" to ensure that requisitioners, approvers, and purchasing staff remain aligned on when a requisition needs to be completed.

Key Functions of the Due Date

  • Dashboard Tracking: The due date directly controls how a requisition is displayed on your main dashboard. Transactions appear in the "Upcoming/Overdue" section based on this date, allowing you to see at a glance which requests require immediate attention.
  • Automated Notifications: Users involved in processing the requisition (such as approvers) will receive dashboard alerts for upcoming or missed dates.
  • Email Alerts: If enabled in their user profile settings, the transaction creator can receive an automated email notification the moment a transaction reaches its assigned due date.

Important Considerations

  • Internal Only: The due date is strictly an internal field. It is never shared with or visible to your suppliers.
  • Optional Usage: The due date is never a required field. If a requisition does not have a strict timeline, this field can be left blank without affecting the workflow.
